My name is Tonia Parlier, and I am an LPC-MHSP licensed in the state of Tennessee. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Carson Newman University and my Bachelor’s degree from King University. I have been practicing as a counselor in Northeast Tennessee for nearly a decade, including seven years providing services in private practice in Greeneville. I have experience working with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. I utilize several therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual’s preferences and needs. I have completed all of my training as an Approved Clinical Supervisor and provide supervision for LPCs and LMFTs in Tennessee. Currently, I am a Consultant-in-Training with EMDRIA, working toward becoming an Approved EMDRIA Consultant. I am also certified in EMDR therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

*Please fill out all paperwork at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. WE REQUIRE A CARD ON FILE for all clients in the event of late cancellation or no show. Failure to complete paperwork within the requested time frame WILL result in a rescheduled appointment.*

What is your typical process for working with clients?

For every client at Loving Counseling, we begin with an intake to gather necessary information about our client's history. This can include everything from family dynamics (current and past), family history of mental illness, current and historic stressors, major life events, current symptoms, family history of suicidality, and more. After the intake, the first session with clients we begin treatment planning and go from there to determine client readiness to tackle issues.

My office accepts BCBS Commercial, Optum/UHC/UMR, Aetna, and Cigna. Out office accepts all forms of Tenncare to include: Amerigroup, Bluecare, and UHC Community Plan. We are NOT in network with Medicare at this time. We accept credit cards, check (if attending in person), cash, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We maintain a credit card on file for any possible no-show fees that must be charged without cancellations in 24 hours.
