Getting to know Tonia Short
Hello. I am a LCSW dedicated to walking alongside you through life's toughest moments. My 20+ years of experience range from working with hospice patients and their families to domestic violence survivors. I approach my clients with compassion, empathy, patience and a good dose of humor. I hope to help you navigate your struggles and find moments of hope and healing. My approach is warm, personalized and grounded in evidence-based practices. Whether you're coping with loss, adapting to change or just need someone to help in your healing journey, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
Most of my career has been dedicated to working with patients and families adjusting to end of life concerns. I've spent several years working directly with ALS patients and their families. Although a great deal of my career has focused on grief and end of life I also work with those experiencing depression, anxiety and many other mental health concerns.
