Tori Eyre

Psychotherapist
UT
I’m a therapist with a diverse background and a passion for helping people grow and heal. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Human and Brain Development. Before pursuing my graduate studies, I worked as a marine biologist, specializing in the rescue and rehabilitation of sea animals. This experience taught me a lot about resilience and the power of recovery — lessons I bring into my therapy work. I specialize in trauma and am trained in Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). My therapeutic approach is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I believe in being honest, straightforward, and direct while always offering empathy and compassion — and yes, I might throw in a joke or two to lighten the mood. Therapy is a judgment-free zone with me. I firmly believe there should be no shame in wanting to better yourself, and I pride myself on creating a space where you can feel safe to explore your challenges and triumphs. I’ve worked extensively with individuals dealing with PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and I’ve spent years as part of a crisis team, helping people in their most urgent moments. I take a holistic approach to therapy, understanding that physical health and mental health are intertwined. I truly believe that everyone has the potential to find peace and joy, no matter the ups and downs life throws their way. Growth is always possible if you’re willing to put in the effort, and I’m here to support you every step of the way as you work toward being your best self.
