Getting to know Torri Pelton

For the last decade, I have specialized in treating eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, and related issues, as well as providing family therapy. I earned my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University in Los Angeles. I meet clients where they are and help build a supportive team around them, tailored to each client's personalized needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. To me, the most important part of therapy is building a safe and trusting relationship. I enjoy working with families, adolescents, and young adults who are struggling to overcome their eating disorders and live life to the fullest. I am passionate about working with families as a whole to restore balance in their relationships. I strive to meet clients' unique needs at every stage of their journey and support them in moving closer to their goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Figuring out what type of treatment is right for you can be confusing. In addition to providing individual, family, and group therapy, I can assist with eating disorder assessment, diagnosis, and treatment placement. Please know that I accept payment upfront and provide a monthly superbly. I do not take insurance. The average cost of session is $200.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical course of treatment for an individual with an eating disorder will include working with a team. I work hand in hand with top dietitians who are educated in HAES and Intuitive Eating. While utilizing therapies such as CBT I focus on creating a positive relationship with the body and food.
