Getting to know Tracey Rubio

My focus is on providing integrative, individualized psychotherapy that meets each client where they are. I work with individuals navigating trauma and complex trauma, attachment wounds, emotional abuse, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use concerns, and LGBTQ+–related issues, as well as those facing interpersonal and relational challenges. I value authenticity, compassion, direct communication which helps create a space where difficult experiences can be explored safely and honestly. Supporting clients in reconnecting with their authentic selves allows them to feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, drawing from attachment-based, relational, and psychodynamic perspectives while incorporating evidence-based interventions as needed. I utilize modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), cognitive and interpersonal strategies, person-centered therapy, and trauma-focused care. The therapeutic relationship itself is central to my work, and I strive to create a safe, affirming environment where healing, growth, and meaningful change can occur.
