Getting to know Traci Hiller

Hey – thanks for checking out my information on this site. Education / Certifications I graduated from the University of Texas – Austin with both undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a Master's in Social Work. I have been practicing social work for a long, long time but am still learning every day. The most consistent lesson I learn is the amazing strength and resilience that people possess when faced with change. My role is to help people identify their strengths and support them on the path forward. My counseling focus: I am a clinical social worker and have focused my career on helping folks with issues ranging from relationship struggles, loneliness, feeling adrift, and coping with illness, HIV/AIDS, grief and loss, to parenting your parents. Closing I have been with my partner for over 30 years; we were able to marry 7 years ago when the laws finally caught up with our hearts. We have an amazing grandson who is the best human ever. I moved to Texas from Seattle two years ago to help care for my aging mom and my aunt with dementia. Whether gay or straight, I have weathered the bumps and bends in the road from my life to find common ground with whatever obstacles life has put before you.
