Hi. My name is Traci Kent, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Iowa. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, and my Master of Social Work at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I have been practicing for thirteen years, working primarily with individuals and couples, focusing on issues such as addictions, family struggles, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, as well as life changes.
I believe in a strengths-based approach, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, as well as psychoeducation and EMDR techniques. Making the choice to seek counseling is a difficult one, and I am glad you have decided to reach out. The first order of business is for us to develop a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship so you feel confident expressing yourself in a safe and supportive environment.
