What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to working with clients is rooted in both my educational and counseling backgrounds. As a former educator and current Graduate Professional Counselor, I understand that learning, growth, and healing are lifelong processes. I recognize that every individual comes with their own unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals, and I strive to meet clients where they are with empathy, respect, and understanding. During our first session, we will explore your concerns, personal history, strengths, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and creates a roadmap for growth and healing. In ongoing sessions, I combine evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based interventions, and trauma-informed care, with practical problem-solving and psychoeducation. My background in education allows me to break down complex emotions, patterns, and challenges into understandable concepts while equipping clients with practical tools they can apply in their daily lives. I work collaboratively with clients to build self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, manage stress, navigate life transitions, and foster healthier relationships. Whether you are a child, adolescent, adult, parent, or educator, my goal is to create a supportive and affirming environment where you feel heard, empowered, and capable of creating meaningful change. I believe healing and growth happen through connection, knowledge, and empowerment. My role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, develop resilience, and gain the confidence needed to navigate life's challenges while building a more balanced and fulfilling future.
