Tracy Taris, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hello, I'm Tracy Taris. Welcome. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who offers hope and healing to my clients. I earned my Master’s in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy to help clients understand past dynamics affecting their present. My clients find freedom from depression and anxiety, renew relationships, improve self-esteem, and revitalize intimacy with their significant other. My focus I offer couples, individual, and family counseling. My specialty populations include Entertainment Industry people and other creatives, Christians, and those needing empowerment. I treat creative blocks, communication issues, stress, panic and anxiety disorders, and sleep disorders. I also specialize in women’s, spirituality, relationship, and mind/body issues. My communication style I believe in a directive approach. Though the first session or two are history gathering, we begin healing immediately. You will leave feeling hopeful after the first session. After gathering information to conceptualize your situation, together we develop a plan to alleviate symptoms, stop behaviors that hold you back, and implement new behaviors to help you move forward. My journey to therapy I became a therapist because therapy worked for me. At first, I referred friends and family to my therapist. One day I thought, “You should become a therapist.” It resonated. I ran the idea by my husband and three close friends; all said, “I can see you doing that,” or, “You would be good at helping people.” So, I applied to graduate school, earned my degree, got my license, and here I am. My goals for you Once I understand what needs to change, I communicate this to you so you develop insight into your life patterns.
