Treasa White, LPC

Psychotherapist
AR
Hi there, I'm Treasa! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in three states, primarily licensed in Arkansas. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University. Since 1998, I've worked in community mental health, starting as a paraprofessional and advancing to a professional role. I believe you already have what you need to heal-my job is to help you find and use your own resources. My approach "Change" is a verb and requires effort. I incorporate elements of CBT, REBT, Adlerian, EMDR, DBT techniques, trauma-informed care, and Rogerian therapy, to name a few. My focus I have a word-of-mouth reputation and niche in helping people dealing with trauma, past or recent. Depression, anxiety, and panic can be separate or part of PTSD. I have experience with various DSM diagnoses, including psychoses and personality disorders. My communication style Clients often say I'm "not like other therapists" they've experienced. They describe me as genuine and non-judgmental, often leaving sessions feeling self-worth and hope, regardless of the topic. I will never ask you to do something beyond your ability. My journey to mental healthcare I began an unconventional college journey as a divorced, single parent aiming for an accounting degree. After taking beginner psychology and sociology courses, I realized I preferred listening and helping others over counting money. I've received calls from former clients years later, saying they "never forgot" something I said and that their lives are better because of our therapeutic relationship. Those moments-big or small, immediate or delayed-keep me doing what I do.
