Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Springfield College and my Bachelor's degree from Roger Williams University. I have worked in a variety of modalities, including intensive outpatient treatment, substance abuse rehabilitation, grief and loss, and couples counseling. Therapy can be a vital instrument in attaining the insight and direction one may need to deal effectively with communication, life's conflicts, and challenges we may be facing. As a therapist, my aim is to help people examine their thoughts and feelings, feel supported, and provide a safe environment where they feel comfortable. I like to collaborate with my clients and allow them to take the lead in their path to recovery, healing, and the achievement of their goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Deciding on therapy can be a very difficult decision. When working with individuals or couples I try to incorporate many different techniques so that you feel comfortable, safe and able to express your emotions and feelings openly and without judgement. Some of the therapy styles I utilize are talk therapy, CBT and Mindfulness therapy. I strive to meet the person where they are at and help them to explore and navigate their concerns, thoughts, ideas and many other areas that have brought them to counseling.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When working with a person, I tailor there therapy specifically for that person or couple. No one process works for everyone. Our first visit will be getting to know you and about you and what you expect from therapy. I will answer any questions you may have and will discuss with you what goals you would like to achieve. If we don't have goals that is okay, this is your time to deicide what you would like to address with me.
