Getting to know Tricia Conlon

I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2003. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in General Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 1997, then went on to complete my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 1999. I have spent the majority of my career working with individuals, couples and families coping with mental health issues, grief, loss and all types of trauma. I specialize in couples' work, adolescent/family systems issues, women's issues, geriatric care issues, and generally working with individuals who have depression, anxiety, cognitive impairment, trauma, and bereavement issues. I am also a Certified Alzheimer’s Level I and II Trainer through the University of South Florida, providing dementia-specific training and support to family caregivers as well as healthcare professionals. Additionally, I am CISM-trained to provide crisis intervention to first responders, schools, and other local community organizations who have endured a sudden loss or traumatic event. I am trained in CBT, mindfulness meditation practices, EMDR, and I am currently working on becoming a Certified Hypnotherapist, as well as certified as a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I focus on a client/family's strengths, and reduce attention around problem-talk and negativity. Clients will receive individualized interventions, support and feedback to foster optimal growth and recovery. My goal is for clients to learn new skills, and use the tools recommended to reduce their symptoms, with the ultimate therapy goal to be discharged once a client has consistently maintained at their desired level of progress.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
