Getting to know Tristine Barry

Hi, I am Tristine! Are you seeking a warm, non-judgmental therapist who creates a safe and compassionate space for you? My style of therapy is based on a positive and highly motivating partnering relationship in which I provide a listening ear to assist in pinpointing where you can begin your journey. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. My approach is eclectic, using proven, evidence-based techniques and skills tailored to map your journey according to your needs. I provide interactive techniques and visuals to help cement concepts and practice for your new, more enjoyable life. I have a strong affinity for technology and, when suitable, use evidence-based platforms (apps) to enhance the client experience, satisfaction, and treatment. I have a high rate of improvement with multiple populations of adults.

What should a new client know about working with you?

It is my goal that with your first and every session, you will leave feeling understood, validated, and relaxed. You will always be greeted with a smile and though I am your therapist I am also a guide. Together we will learn the best way to assist you, utilize educational resources and ideas, and begin to set small goals. My clients have shared that they always feel better and more hopeful at the end of each session. Additionally, I will share with you evidence-based ways to practice and enhance your experience not only in session, but every day.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
