Getting to know Twaina Manee Carpenter

Hello there, I'm Twaina. I approach psychotherapy from a person-centered, supportive role, where I first utilize strong active listening skills. From there, I mentor, guide, and help my consumer by assisting them in becoming a change agent-helping to shift thoughts and perceptions that create judgments in life, whether judging others, situations, or oneself. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Grace University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively on their journey toward growth and healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe the care that I provide my consumer comes across as being very genuine; therefore, my consumer feels safe in sharing things they may have kept bottled up inside and never shared with anyone, even those that are closest to them. Yet, the comfort and the safe place I provide my consumer makes for a place and space for them to open up and start working on letting things go (once and for all) and finally feeling it is okay to move forward. Successful care and progress are evident when the dis-ease has been alleviated and/or the dis-ease has declined significantly, and the client is better able to manage their response to the disease better (whether it be a person, a situation, a life event, etc.).

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
