NC
Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate specializing in women’s mental health, with a growing focus on perinatal and maternal wellness. I support women navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotional challenges across the lifespan. My clinical background includes working within hospital settings alongside Labor & Delivery and NICU teams, where I’ve supported women during postpartum recovery and complex medical experiences. This work has deepened my commitment to supporting women during the perinatal period. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients build coping skills, process experiences, and move toward healing. I have completed foundational training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International and am actively pursuing advanced certification to further support women in this stage of life. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where women feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients can expect a collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where your experiences are taken seriously and met with care. My approach is primarily trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered, meaning we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and focus on what matters most in your life and healing. Sessions are structured enough to keep us focused, but flexible enough to allow space for what you need that day. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes while building insight, resilience, and practical tools you can use outside of sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with a thorough intake session where we explore what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant history, and your goals for treatment. This helps us build a shared understanding of your needs and identify what support will be most helpful. In ongoing sessions, we typically start by checking in on how you’ve been doing since we last met and what feels most important to focus on that day. From there, we work collaboratively on your goals, which may include processing experiences, building coping skills, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, or addressing specific symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related stress. My approach is structured but flexible. Some sessions may focus more on skill-building and practical strategies, while others may involve deeper exploration of thoughts, emotions, and past experiences. I often incorporate evidence-based techniques such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed interventions, depending on what fits best for your needs. Throughout the process, we regularly revisit your goals and progress to ensure treatment continues to feel relevant, supportive, and aligned with what you want to achieve.
