What should a new client know about working with you?

I not only offer a space for clients to feel safe, I curate a space that plays to their personality, preferences, and goals of treatment. I feel that appealing to clients in simply and subtle ways can go a long way in treatment. I most often take a strengths based approach when working with clients and utilize many concepts from cognitive behavioral therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I imagine my ideal client being a person who may struggle to find their voice or identify their personal strengths. I picture this client to struggles with anxiety, panic, and/or unstable moods of some sort. Issues sessions with this client would focus on building coping skills and exploring preventative measures to unwanted thoughts or behaviors. The goal of our sessions would be to simply improve the clients enjoyment and functionality using methods like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Holistic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Based Therapy (MBCT).
