Tyler Woody, LPC

Psychotherapist
OR
Hi there, I'm Tyler! My pronouns are (he/they), an LPC. I work with adults navigating complex trauma, dissociation, and organizational, religious, or institutional betrayal — especially folks who've spent years holding it all together and are ready to stop performing for a while. I offer identity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ welcoming telehealth care across Oregon and Colorado. My focus I work with adults carrying complex trauma, PTSD, dissociation, OCD, anxiety, and the aftermath of religious or institutional betrayal. Many are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, or in helping and leadership roles. If therapy has felt clinical, rushed, or like you had to translate yourself to be understood, you're not alone here. My approach My work is collaborative, parts-aware, and paced for the person in front of me. I integrate IFS to help you know your inner system, EMDR for stuck memories, clinical hypnosis, and somatic tracking so your body has a way to finish what it couldn't before. We move at the pace your system can actually hold, not the pace symptoms demand. My communication style Warm, direct, and unhurried. I ask real questions, name what I notice, and welcome pushback. I use plain language over jargon and adapt my pacing to your nervous system. All the parts of you — the ones you've kept safe and the ones you're still getting to know — are welcome. You never have to perform wellness with me. My journey to mental healthcare I trained at the University of Northern Colorado and have been practicing since 2019. My path into trauma and dissociation work grew from watching how often people get failed by systems meant to help them. I became an LPC to offer the kind of care I once needed: affirming, competent, paced with respect, and unafraid of complexity. My goals for you I think of our work as a road trip — you choose the direction, and I ride along with a road map, offering skills and questions along the way.
