Getting to know Tytianna Bowers

I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, self-doubt, and patterns that may be keeping them from feeling like themselves. You may find yourself overthinking, putting others' needs before your own, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling emotionally exhausted even when you're doing your best to keep everything together. My approach to therapy is holistic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. I believe emotional well-being is connected to our thoughts, relationships, experiences, identity, and the ways stress can affect both the mind and body. Therapy with me is a space to better understand what's beneath the surface while developing practical tools for everyday life. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and trauma-focused approaches. Together, we may work on understanding patterns that contribute to anxiety and stress, strengthening emotional regulation, building confidence, developing healthier boundaries, and creating more compassionate ways of relating to yourself. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself while building skills that support meaningful and lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, collaborative, and supportive. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. I take a holistic approach, which means we may look at more than the immediate problem that brought you to therapy. We'll also explore the thoughts, emotions, experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be influencing how you feel today. I especially enjoy supporting adults who are navigating anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm. Our work can help you recognize patterns, understand yourself more deeply, strengthen confidence, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress and relationships. Therapy is tailored to you. We'll work at a pace that feels manageable while focusing on the areas that matter most to your goals and well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We'll begin by talking about what brings you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, and what you would like to be different. We'll identify goals together and begin exploring the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns that may be contributing to the challenges you're facing. As our work develops, I may incorporate CBT to examine unhelpful thought patterns, IFS to better understand different parts of yourself, mindfulness-based practices to strengthen emotional awareness and reduce stress, and trauma-informed strategies to support safety, coping, and healing. Our sessions may also focus on strengthening boundaries, managing anxiety and emotional overwhelm, building self-esteem, and recognizing patterns such as people-pleasing or self-doubt. My process is collaborative rather than one-size-fits-all. We'll continue to assess what's helpful, adjust our work when needed, and focus on helping you develop insight and practical skills you can carry into your everyday life.

Tytianna was the perfect listener! It felt more like a conversation opposed to a therapy session and I appreciated that.
