Getting to know Unique Bullard

Some people ask me, “Why did you choose social work?” and my answer remains the same: “Social work chose me.” I have always had a passion for helping those in tough or less-than-favorable positions find hope and meaning in their lives. I enjoy helping others discover and utilize the strengths they possess. My life experiences have taught me that it's not where you start, but your mindset and willingness to work toward something better. I received my Bachelor's in Social Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2012. Upon graduating, I continued my education and earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach in 2014. After graduating, I began my social work career advocating for children, youth, and families who were high risk, underserved, and underrepresented as a Children and Family Social Worker with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, families, and adults in unfavorable conditions by helping them find stability, peace, and teaching them effective coping skills. I recently relocated to the Dallas, Texas area after falling in love with the city during various visits. I am excited that you have decided to take this first step to prioritize your mental health, and it would be an honor to work with you through this process.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
