Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Valerie. Finding the right therapist can make a significant difference in your healing process, so I'd like to share a bit about myself. I am a non-judgmental and open-minded therapist, and I firmly believe that within all of us, we have the answers we seek. Sometimes, it takes an outside perspective to help us find those solutions, and that's where I come in. I hold a Master's degree (MA) and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. My passion lies in helping children, teens, and preteens navigate through anxiety, depression, family issues, boundary setting, communication skills, transitions, coping skills, identity issues, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a mother to four children, one of whom is on the Autism Spectrum, I have a unique perspective that deeply informs my counseling practice. This personal experience allows me to connect on a profound level with individuals on the spectrum and their loved ones. In addition to my work with younger clients, I also have extensive experience working with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, life transitions, and relationship issues. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, and I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to ask for help, and I am here to support you every step of the way. I would love to work with you and be a part of your counseling journey. Let's work together to find the solutions that are already within you.
