“I was really overwhelmed after becoming a mom and didn’t know who to talk to. My husband suggested I try therapy even though I was hesitant and therapy can be very looked down on in my community. I was afraid I wouldn't find a therapist who understands the cultural pressure I carry. Valerie created space for those conversations with such care. I felt like I could explore my identity without guilt or shame. She helped me reconnect with myself after having a baby and feel so much less alone in the process. ”

Getting to know Valerie Katz

I’m here to remind you that you don’t have to go it alone. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, overwhelm, disconnection, sadness, anxiety, and low self-esteem in a warm, judgment-free space where we can work through the hard parts of life together. My style is client-centered, trauma-informed, and attuned to your individual process and pace, bringing in the tools that support growth and lasting change. I draw from IFS, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and positive psychology, always adapting to what feels right for you—whether that’s achieving clear goals or being heard and supported. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. Outside the therapy room, I love to dance, run with my dog Mochi, and simply be cozy with a cup of tea and a good podcast. The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist ( #153752 )and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Stori.

I've been in therapy on and off for years, but this is the first time I've stayed consistently because I actually feel connected and seen. Working with Valerie has helped me understand myself in a whole new way and I am so grateful.
It was such a calming, supportive space. I didn’t feel rushed or judged. She offered tools that made sense and actually felt useful after just one session.
| had no idea how much | needed this until I started. Valerie helped me peel back layers I didn’t even know were there. I've never felt so supported and understood before.
Really impressed by how tuned in she was. She seemed to pick up on things I wasn’t even aware of and helped me feel understood without me having to explain everything.
My partner and I were at a breaking point when we found Valerie. She helped us slow down, really listen to each other, and break out of old habits. We’re communicating better than we ever have & actually enjoying being around each other again!
I've worked with therapists before, but none felt as naturally intuitive as Valerie. She listens with so much care and reflects things in a way that makes me feel deeply seen.
Working with Valerie through my pregnancy was incredibly grounding. She supported me through fears, changing dynamics in my relationship, and helped me prepare emotionally for motherhood. I always left our sessions feeling more centered.
I was drowning in new mom stress and honestly losing my sense of self. Valerie helped me feel like I wasn't alone, and reminded me that I matter too. Her presence is so gentle and grounding. I can't thank her enough!
From the first session, I knew I found an amazing therapist. Valerie’s presence is calm, curious, and deeply caring. She helped me work through a season of intense change and never once made me feel like a burden.
There’s a kindness in how everything is approached that made me feel safe enough to actually talk about things I've never said out loud before.
Valerie is kind, present, and makes it feel like a real conversation. I walk out of every session feeling lighter. I'm so thankful I found her.
Seeing Valerie throughout my pregnancy was the best decision I could have made. She helped me process all the fear and overwhelm with so much compassion. I always left our sessions feeling grounded and more connected to myself.
Couples therapy with Valerie helped my partner and I actually hear each other for the first time in a while. We learned to pause, reflect, and understand what the other person was trying to say instead of just reacting.
The visit was incredibly helpful. She listened with so much compassion and helped me see a pattern I hadn't noticed before. I'm excited to continue.
What I love most is how Valerie personalizes each session. Some days we dive into deeper reflection, other times she gives me practical tools like meditations or worksheets. It never feels generic, it always feels like it's for me.
Each session builds on the last in such a thoughtful way. I've been working with Valerie for nearly a year now and have never once felt judged or dismissed. My sessions feel like one of the few places where I can be fully myself. I am so grateful I found her. It really is not easy to find a therapist you genuinely click with.
My partner and I were both nervous to try couples therapy, but Valerie made it feel so approachable. She helped us communicate in a totally different way, and we're finally on the same page again.
I've had multiple sessions with Valerie over the last few months and I keep coming back because I actually feel like I'm growing. Her presence is calming and her insights are always spot-on. Every visit gives me something meaningful to carry with me.
