Getting to know Valerie Marbach

Are you feeling stuck, anxious, or depressed about your current life? I'd love to help! My name is Val and am a Professional Counselor in South Scottsdale who specializes in anxiety, "growing up" issues and depression. Many of my clients are in their early to mid-adulthood, & are overwhelmed by what life keeps throwing at them. They are tired of feeling anxious, sad, angry, or confused. Anxiety, depression, overeating/drinking are all signs of deeper, underlying issues which I will gently assist you in processing, as well as help you see your own strengths (yes, you have plenty of them!) My goal is for you to move thru the pain in your past and feel excited about your life ahead! I will help you identify your goals and then integrate therapies such as EMDR (trauma therapy), &CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS & person-centered approaches to help your life improve. In addition, you will receive TONS of compassion, plus a down-to-earth, judgment-free, positive zone that will keep you encouraged to make the changes that we discover together. I understand that finding a therapist you like is hard! I will make this experience comfortable and unintimidating (and a bit enjoyable too):) I meet clients in person at my South Scottsdale location or virtually (no evenings availability at this time). What should a new client know about working with you?

My clients say that I make the therapy space feel very comfortable and bring fun and practicality into our sessions. I believe in teaching my client REAL skills to apply to their lives but also important is to ask the right questions to help clients self-discover and come up with their own solutions. Even though I may be mid age, I bring my young spirit and energy into the space so clients of all ages can feel comfortable and non judged.
