You may find yourself at a crossroads, trying to figure out where to go from here. Maybe you’ve done things a certain way your whole life, and now you’re considering a different path, exploring your identity, or choosing to take up more space in your life and focus your attention on yourself, rather than those around you. Perhaps you’ve experienced relational challenges that are becoming impossible to ignore, or a chronic illness that has you questioning the meaning of life itself. Whatever your reason for seeking support, you deserve the opportunity to explore your inner world in a way that feels safe and affirming. As a queer therapist with my own lived experience of bisexuality and navigating compulsory heterosexuality (comphet), I understand how complicated it can feel to peek under the hood and examine parts of yourself that you may have spent years putting aside. I have a particular interest in working with adults exploring their sexuality and identity later in life, including those questioning long-held assumptions about themselves or relationships they have previously been in. I also enjoy working with clients navigating relational and sexual concerns, including pornography use and its impact, kink and BDSM lifestyles, and the ways technology is changing intimacy—including AI companionship. I work exclusively with adults and do not see children or adolescents.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Another population close to my heart is what I think of as “wise women,” or women entering the post-menopausal stage of life who are ready to turn their attention inward, reconnect with themselves, and take up more space in their own lives. This can be a powerful period of reflection, reinvention, spirituality, sexuality, and self-discovery. I love working with women who are asking, “What do I want now?” after years of prioritizing partners, children, family, careers, or other responsibilities. At the core of my practice is a humanistic belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, regardless of their past experiences, current circumstances, or the parts of themselves they may be struggling to accept. Most importantly, you do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Come as you are, and we will figure it out together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In sessions, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and somatic-based approaches. I balance exploring patterns of thinking and behavior with practicing acceptance of yourself as you are in the present moment, while continuing to work toward the life you want to build. I also recognize that spirituality can be an important part of how we understand ourselves and our experiences. When meaningful to the client, I am open to incorporating spiritual practices and frameworks, including tarot, astrology, and aura, as tools for reflection, self-exploration, and meaning-making. These perspectives are always client-led and offered as an invitation rather than a prescription.
