Life is filled with ups, downs, twists, & turns that even the most confident & skilled individuals struggle to independently navigate. My role, as a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health, a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor, & a Certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, is to partner with you as you journey through these challenges toward self-awareness & self-actualization. My approach My philosophy is to create a judgment-free environment in which you feel safe to share your life experiences, learn the relationship between your experiences, feelings, and behavior, develop new skills, and recognize your unique strengths, abilities, and resources. My focus My primary areas of interest are depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, grief, and premarital counseling. Using a collaborative approach, we will explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them more effectively. My communication style Open and honest communication is the foundation of a healthy relationship. As such, I will make a conscious effort to listen to your needs and understand the entirety of the message being conveyed. Although I am a mental health expert, you are the expert of your life. As you share your thoughts and feelings, I will empathetically gain a deeper understanding of you and make positive changes in your lives. My goals for you Life is a journey that is oftentimes most enjoyed when it is shared with others. My role is to offer you support and accompany you during your journey.
