“Excellent listener and therapist. She made me comfortable and safe, I was able to express myself. Additionally, I sought out a "Christian Counselor" and she is very grounded in our common faith, so that was exceptionally meaningful to me.”

Getting to know Vanessa Farish

Life is surprising, and all of us encounter various struggles along the way. It is brave to seek help in the midst of those struggles, and though it can be difficult to know who to trust when we are in need, professional counselors can be an extraordinarily beneficial resource. It is my greatest honor in life to be a counselor and to walk alongside those courageous souls who acknowledge that they want change, assisting them in creating the lives they deserve. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of California, with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University. I am committed to helping individuals, couples, and families. I approach therapy first and foremost as a relationship between counselor and client, wherein we take a journey together to discover the path to healing and greater wholeness that will be unique for each person. I am a trained musician and actress and have spent many years working in education and food and beverage. My wide range of experience in different markets and with diverse personalities influences my ability to connect with and understand a broad spectrum of people, which has been a great asset in working with clients. I have been a worship leader in a Christian church for many years, and though I regularly see clients with many different worldviews, I enjoy incorporating my faith practice with those who share the same beliefs. I applaud you for taking the first brave step in seeking counseling, and I hope to have the opportunity to hear your unique story.
