Hi, I'm Vanessa! I combine 1:1 counseling, mindful movement, and RESET Breathwork to support you in releasing all of the stored emotions, pain, and harmful patterns that you have been holding onto so that you can achieve a life of peace and freedom. I hold a Master's in Social Work from San Diego State University, which informs my compassionate and effective approach to healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I do not offer medication prescription. I offer an empowering approach to therapy. I have a strong background in working with people recovering from addiction and anxiety. In addition to verbal processing, I offer many body-based tools in my session because it has been proven that healing goes way beyond "just talking about it." A bonus to being right across from the harbor is that I am also able to facilitate outdoor sessions by the water.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The client's that love working with me often benefit from using coping tools where they are able to connect with their bodies such as walks, music, mindful movement, breathwork, tapping, visualizations and more! By the end of the session, you will have clear tools that you can practice consistently outside of the session.

I currently accept Aetna, Cigna, EAP, United HealthCare and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (California.) This means that you would only be required to pay a copay for each session. If you do not have any of these insurances, I am able to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network benefits. Check with your insurance ahead of time to see if you qualify for a superbill.
