Feeling stuck? As an empathic and non-judgmental listener, I am up for the task of helping you uncover your strengths and identify your personal method of addressing any difficulties you've experienced. You are your own greatest strength. I'm just here to walk beside you as you make your way through it. My approach My approach is eclectic; I work primarily from a modern Psychodynamic Therapy approach and implement Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) strategies. I believe that by ‘making the unconscious, conscious’ and better understanding the “why”, we can then take actionable steps to create positive change. My focus I work best with clients who find themselves struggling to find their "why". If there's anything I've learned within the last few years, it's that connectivity and establishing healthy relational dynamics with others are key to not just surviving, but thriving. Identifying communication skills and behavioral patterns are the pillars of my approach. My communication style Previous clients have described my communication style as direct, empathetic, and caring, with some humor sprinkled in. My journey to mental healthcare I hope to provide my clients with support and care; my journey to becoming a provider began when I came to understand that I needed this level of support in my life and that having it makes a significant difference in daily living. My goals for you I work alongside you to determine and map out your treatment goals; I plan to ask probing questions and challenge unhealthy, learned thinking patterns in order to help get you where you'd like to be. My first session with you I like to start my first sessions with brief introductions, then move into identifying any difficulties you are facing. I ask questions about you and gather information to help create a game plan and goals for us to address in future sessions.
