Getting to know Vania Simon

A Trauma-Informed Therapist with over 15 years’ experience as a licensed clinician in the State of Florida. After earning her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, Vania obtained certification as a Qualified Field Trainer and Supervisor, Compassion Fatigue and Complex Trauma Therapist, with training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Self-Compassion, Critical Incident Stress Management, CBT, and MBCBT. She is a member of FMHCA, ASGPP, and ICISF, with experience supporting first responders and their families, as well as in guidance and school counseling, college, and career counseling. Vania works with adolescents through adulthood in areas including complex trauma, victim advocacy at FIU, compassion fatigue, and somatic and experiential techniques. She integrates mindfulness, compassion, and psychodrama through individual, group, and couples therapy to assist clients on their road to self-acceptance and fulfilling lives and relationships.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
