Vera Dragonchuk, LMHC

Psychotherapist
WA
I am a licensed mental health clinician and founder of Renton Counseling Center. I work with individuals virtually but I am currently forming a psychotherapy process group for adults who are interested in deeper self-understanding, relational growth, and meaningful emotional change within a confidential group setting. My approach is evidence-informed and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality, respect, and thoughtful group process. Group psychotherapy offers a unique opportunity to explore patterns, build insight, and practice new ways of relating in real time. I value ongoing feedback to ensure the work remains responsive and clinically grounded.

Getting to know Vera Dragonchuk

I am a licensed mental health clinician and founder of Renton Counseling Center.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me involves a structured, process-oriented psychotherapy group in a confidential setting. This group meets online for 75-minute sessions and includes a required once-a-year in-person intensive held in Renton, Washington, which is an essential part of the group process and deepening the work. My therapeutic style is collaborative, relational, and evidence-informed. I maintain an objective clinical stance and keep my personal experiences separate from the therapeutic work, with the focus remaining on group process, reflection, and members’ goals. I help group members notice and understand emotional and relational patterns as they emerge in real time, while supporting thoughtful engagement, accountability, and growth. I value confidentiality, professionalism, and ongoing feedback to ensure the group remains responsive and clinically grounded

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients are carefully screened to ensure a strong fit for this psychotherapy group. Members are selected based on shared life stage and goals, with the group designed for adults typically in their 30s to 50s navigating parenting, career, and relational balance. Participation requires at least 1–2 years of prior individual therapy or self-improvement group experience, comfort speaking in a small group, and interest in learning how to engage in and work through conflict. The first session includes an in-depth interview focused on counseling history and readiness for group work. Sessions are 75 minutes and process-oriented, emphasizing real-time interaction and reflection. Members are expected to attend on time, take responsibility for their share of speaking, put actions and reactions into words, and refrain from relationships outside the group. Sessions are transcribed and summarized for clinical note-taking purposes. A required annual in-person intensive in Renton, Washington, is part of the group structure.
