Getting to know Verniece Green-Fulford
I am a Black, Cis Female therapist with over 20 years of experience in behavioral health. I specialize in working with BIPOC, Women, and LGBTQIA folx who experience anxiety, depression, challenges adjusting to life changes, fertility issues, self-esteem/self-worth concerns, imposter syndrome, interpersonal/family/relationship difficulties, work-related stress, and school adjustment.
I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support my clients effectively.
As a therapist, what you see is what you get. I pride myself on being authentic and providing a safe space where clients can feel seen and heard. Laughter (when appropriate, of course) is woven into sessions—not only to break the ice but to set the tone for what partnering with me on your therapeutic journey will be like. Laughter truly fuels my soul!
My approach to therapy is largely psychodynamic. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all methods, so I tailor therapeutic approaches to suit each client’s presenting concerns. Sessions are conducted as a dialogue, encouraging clients to speak openly about what’s going on while receiving psychoeducation and support.
