Getting to know Vernon Wiggins

Hello everyone. I have worked in mental health and education for over 25 years. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Texas, San Antonio. I will update more later. As of now, I am just trying to get things in motion.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Skills in affirmation and goal setting.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

This being my first session, I know I shared a lot about myself and he was very considerate while helping me identify my current challenges. I do not like to be a burden on others and that is something that I honestly never pieced together.
He is an amazing listener and makes you feel comfortable sharing your experiences with him. He gives genuine insight and advice.
This was my first session with Vernon and I like how he allowed me to just talk. He guided me when there was a place he would like to stop and dive deeper. I think we are going to get along just fine.
I would absolutely recommend Vernon to others.
