CA
My name is Veronica Ceballos, and I am an experienced, bilingual English/Spanish Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles. I have experience treating adolescents and adults facing various life challenges. My approach I use supportive techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused therapy to increase emotional understanding, identify negative patterns, and develop positive coping skills to improve overall functioning. My focus I treat individuals overcoming conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, stress, and women’s issues. My communication style I provide a warm, non-judgmental, and safe environment to explore what has led you to therapy. As a hands-on clinician, I teach skills that can be used even after therapy ends, helping you navigate relationships and daily stressors. My journey to therapy I have been in the helping profession for over 20 years and have been committed to becoming a therapist since discovering people—especially mothers—were drawn to share their life circumstances with me. I enjoy working with people and find it rewarding to help others overcome challenges and improve functioning. My goals for you I start goal setting by meeting you where you are, believing you have what it takes to find the answers and solutions that work best for you. I provide tools that strengthen you while assisting you in accomplishing your goals. My first session with you The first session includes an assessment to understand what brought you to treatment, including symptoms and overall functioning, as well as a discussion of expectations and responsibilities from each of us.
