Getting to know Veronica Gruba

I moved to Los Angeles in 2014 from Seattle, WA. Over the past ten years, I have done improv with UCB and WE Improv, worked at UCB as both an intern and a theater manager, worked a variety of customer service jobs, studied hypnotherapy, developed a small tarot reading business, and eventually ended up in grad school to become a licensed therapist. Each of these steps along my journey have taught me a great deal about humor, patience, resilience, compassion, and the struggles of being a human on this planet (more specifically in Los Angeles). I completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University - Los Angeles in March 2024. As of June 2023, I have been engaged in ongoing training at the Southern California Counseling Center. Some of the workshops/classes I have taken include: Gestalt psychology, somatic therapy, CBT, DBT, eating disorder treatment from a HAES perspective, and much more.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in helping clients navigate life transitions, address self-esteem and confidence challenges, and manage depression/anxiety stemming from past or present circumstances. In our initial sessions, we will collaborate to establish practical and meaningful goals. As we progress, our focus will be on building a trusting relationship that supports healing, joy, and personal growth.
