Veronica Hall, AMFT

Veronica Hall, AMFT

Psychotherapist
35 Collier Rd NW, Ste 425, Atlanta, GA
I completed my undergraduate studies in Sociology at Mercer University. After graduation, I embraced the life of an entrepreneur. This journey brought me many valuable insights that enhanced my understanding of human lived experiences. To a greater extent, this period heightened my ability to effectively connect and empathize with people of all walks of life. In hopes of bringing more meaning to my own life, I decided to shift career paths and return to academia. I earned my Masters degree at Mercer University School of Medicine in Marriage and Family Therapy. I worked alongside Dr. John Tumeh at Foundation Psychiatry as an intern for a year prior to graduation. This period was challenging and educational on many levels. I found myself fully integrated in the practice and dedicated to the success of each patient I encountered. I subsequently (and enthusiastically) embraced the opportunity to remain a part of the team as a provider. Throughout my training and work as a therapist, I have adopted techniques from many disciplines within the field of systemic therapy. I primarily employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Systems Theory. I offer psychotherapy services for individuals and families dealing with depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, life cycle transitions, and the overarching difficulties associated with a variety of life's challenges. I value a collaborative, goal setting, and problem-solving approach to therapy in a friendly, attentive, and genuine manner.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The typical therapy session is 60 minutes long. Initial sessions are preferably in person, but subsequent sessions are available virtually. 30 minute and 90 minute sessions are available as well. Intake sessions are designed to get to know one another and target overarching issues as efficiently as possible. It is a priority in my practice to begin making progress quickly by providing strategies and skills to take into a client's daily life as soon as the first session.
