Hello, nice to meet you online. My name is Veronica Watson, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My approach My approach to therapy is to assess the situation and proceed based on what is best for my clients. I have been profoundly influenced by many therapeutic approaches, and my style reflects that. My focus I work best with those who struggle with managing stress, anxiety, compulsive behaviors, problems with intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, and relationship challenges. My communication style I work towards building trust with clients. I've been told by my clients that I have a calm presence, I help provide structure to things that seem complicated, and I help clarify things that aren't clear. My journey to mental healthcare I earned my Master's in Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus. Through my experience, I have served the community in Central Valley, California, for many years in various capacities. I have 10 years of experience as a therapist. How did I get here? Just like many others, I have had unexpected challenges come up in my life. I found that mental health is important, and talk therapy is one of many ways to help manage our overall well-being. My goals for you Typically, goals and expectations in therapy are set at the first meeting, but sometimes my clients' goals are not clear yet. Support from a well-trained therapist can help you find hidden openings to new possibilities in life. Those openings become clearer through the guidance of a trusted therapist. My first session with you There are many causes and contributors to life's challenges. At the first visit, we will explore what is currently going on in your life. You get to choose what to bring up in therapy. It is important to bring up things from the past if they are currently affecting you.
