What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together, you can expect a warm, collaborative space where you're truly heard and respected. I combine several evidence-based approaches to support healing, growth, and clarity. At the heart of my approach is Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). That means I see you as the expert in your own life, and I’m here to walk alongside you, not ahead. You’ll be met with genuine empathy, nonjudgmental acceptance, and deep respect for your individual experience. Therapy is a place where all parts of you are welcome. To help you understand and shift patterns that may be holding you back, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. This involves exploring the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and working together to challenge unhelpful beliefs or habits that no longer serve you. We'll build practical tools you can use outside of sessions, at a pace that feels right for you. I also at times incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps us understand the different "parts" within you—like the inner critic, the overachiever, or the wounded child. Each part has a story and a role, often formed in response to past experiences. Rather than getting rid of these parts, we’ll get curious about them. The goal is to help them unburden and relate to each other in healthier ways, allowing your authentic Self—compassionate, calm, and confident—to lead.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work best with individuals who are introspective, emotionally aware (or want to be), and ready to better understand themselves—especially those who feel stuck in old patterns, carry anxiety or shame, or struggle to trust their inner voice. You might be successful on the outside but overwhelmed inside, or maybe you’ve been through something painful and are just trying to make sense of it all. You may find yourself thinking, “Why do I keep doing this?” or “I should be okay, but I’m not.” Therapy with me is grounded in presence, warmth, and real connection. Clients often say they feel safe, seen, and deeply heard in our sessions—and that’s exactly my intention. I create a space where you don’t have to perform, explain away your feelings, or have all the answers. You can bring your full, unfiltered self into the room—confusion, contradictions, tears, silence, laughter—all of it is welcome. My communication style is gentle but direct. I’ll always honor your pace, but I’m also here to reflect what I notice, ask meaningful questions, and gently challenge patterns when it feels helpful. I believe in being real with you, not clinical or distant. You can expect a tone that’s both compassionate and honest—rooted in mutual respect and curiosity.
