What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide individual therapy focused on empowering young adults and older adults. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life changes by building practical coping skills and fostering personal growth. My communication style is built on a foundation of warmth, authenticity, and respect. I believe that for therapy to be effective, you must first feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood. From our very first session, I strive to create a space that is non-judgmental and welcoming, where you can show up exactly as you are. I have always had compassion for people. As a little girl, it was always my goal to be "a person who helps people in need." I've spent the majority of my career doing just that. It is my desire to empower people and help them reach their desired goals in life. One way I can accomplish this is by providing therapy for individuals who feel stuck and just need a safe space to process feelings and learn how to cope with daily stressors. I am here to provide you with therapeutic help and support to help you accomplish your desired goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My entire approach to therapy is centered around strengthening you and helping you identify and reach the goals that are most meaningful to you. In our initial session, we define goals together and then work as a team to determine what you want to achieve. I provide evidence-based tools to help you reach your goals by building coping skills, developing healthier thought patterns, and learning to process difficult emotions. Our first session is a 50-minute intake session. We’ll quickly review important paperwork to ensure you feel safe and informed about the therapeutic process. The majority of the session is for you to talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges that you’re facing, and what changes you would like to work on. This is a safe, confidential space for you to ask questions and share your story at your own pace. The main goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and to see if we're a good fit to work together.
