Vicky Perez, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I have been in the mental health field since June 2017 and have been a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist since December 2022. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. I have experience working with children, youth, and families who struggle with a variety of symptoms and disorders such as depression, stress, anxiety, poor relationships, and low self-esteem. My therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), focusing on challenging thoughts and changing behaviors, and Person-Centered Therapy to ensure non-judgment, genuineness, and positive regard. I accept individuals for who they are and utilize a humanistic approach to help patients reach their ultimate goals, supporting success in social relationships, academics, employment, and self-care. All humans face challenges and struggles that are unique and personal. Throughout treatment, my primary focus is to help you feel validated and supported in session, while also challenging you to complete goals between sessions. My goal is to help you achieve your set treatment objectives. I find that humor, compassion, and authenticity allow my clients to feel comfortable and make progress simultaneously. I listen compassionately and help you explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors openly while guiding you to map your path to recovery so you can thrive. I greatly enjoy helping my patients reach their ultimate goals and often look forward to amplifying and highlighting the progress they have made throughout treatment.
