Victoria Andrews, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, I am Vicki Andrews, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University and a Bachelor’s degree from National University. I look forward to working with you in those areas of discomfort. We can work at your pace using an eclectic approach that works best for you. Therapy takes courage, and I am here to support you on your path to becoming the person you want to be. My approach While I use the therapeutic approach most comfortable for you, I tend to default to cognitive behavioral therapy, often interweaving CBT with techniques from other therapy approaches. My focus I enjoy working with all people but hold a special place for women’s issues, adolescent concerns, depression, anxiety, and trauma. As an adult who grew up in a home with an alcoholic father, I also understand those issues and concerns. My communication style I work collaboratively with you in a welcoming, safe, and non-judgmental way. Therapy is about you, and it needs to be a comfortable place where you feel free to share your thoughts. My journey to mental healthcare As early as 16, I recall wanting to become a counselor/therapist. I am altruistic by nature, looking to help others. As a mother, I learned to problem solve, seeking solutions to bring about comfortable change. I also spent years as an in-home daycare provider, supporting parents with caring for and parenting their children. My goals for you As we get to know each other and choose to work together, we can decide what concerns you want to address that you feel can bring you the most comfort. My first session with you Our initial session is a time to get to know one another. Therapy works best when we feel safe to be honest and vulnerable. I am genuine—what you see is who I am—and I truly look forward to getting to know and understand you.
