What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy approach is to develop a rapport with you, understand your needs and treatment goals, and which approach you are most comfortable with. I want to learn as much as you want to share about your experiences and identity to better understand you and what makes you, "you", however I will never push, therefore you set the boundaries. We will work at your pace but I will challenge you to the degree you are willing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Over our first few sessions, I will complete a biopsychosocial history to gain insight into who you are and how your experiences have helped to shape your identity. We will discuss your goals in therapy, prioritize them and discuss which approach is best for you. I do use an eclectic mix of interventions, from talk therapy to CBT and others. Understanding how your experiences have negatively impacted you is the only goal in discussing past events and you choose which events/details you share.
