Psychotherapist
1870 Olympic Blvd, Walnut Creek, CA
I believe healing begins in relationships where people feel safe, understood, and accepted. I work extensively with young adults (ages 18-28). This stage of life carries the pressures of new independence and uncertainties about the future. Navigating a career or transitioning from school life brings a unique set of challenges. I help clients build confidence and find clarity to help make sense of these transitions and move toward a more grounded path. I also work with teens (ages 13-17) navigating relationships, anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use, and life changes while trying to figure out who they are and where they fit. I strive to create a space that feels respectful and genuine, where clients can show up authentically and feel truly heard. My clinical approach is grounded in empathy and real world experience. I am passionate about supporting young people as they heal, build trust in themselves, and move toward meaningful change at their own pace. I began my career in addiction counseling and with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College. I served as a Lead Residential Counselor in a teen residential facility for mental health and substance use disorders. I also worked as a Milieu Trainer, guiding new counselors while developing a program for youth services. I received my graduate degree in Counseling Psychology at The Wright Institute while working with students at a high school in Orinda, CA. In addition to my clinical role, I manage the intake process to help with insurance verification, billing, scheduling, and matching you with the provider best suited to your needs. The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Ivy Creek Therapy.
