Getting to know Victoria Harris

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in Georgia and South Carolina with a background in clinical practice and a strong desire and interest in helping clients through physical, emotional and mental challenges. My path to psychotherapy came from a lifetime of living amongst mental and standard healthcare professionals and developed my own passion for helping others. I earned my MSW from Savannah State University where I interned in both a residential youth home and a clinical hospital, these experiences helped to further shape my understanding of mental health and strengthen my desire to work with others. I’ve worked predominantly with children and adolescents and this has led to my developing the core principle of my practice; a holistic, human and strength based perspective that focuses on meeting the client where they are and helping them cross whatever bridges they encounter in their lives. My goal is to empower clients to reclaim their narratives, embrace their already existing strengths and work to discover others. I pride myself on tailoring my approach to each client and working with them in a therapeutic alliance. For me, therapy is not a “one size fits all” solution, but instead is one that is grounded in empathy, diversity, equity, activism and inclusion.
