** IMPORTANT NOTE: I do not prescribe medications, don't do immigration evaluations or accept insurance benefits** Seeking care is such a vulnerable place to be. First and foremost, my hope with every session is that a client feels heard and understood. Then, my hope is to begin to help them uncover where they are struggling the most. Working with clients has come from years of my own desire to grow and change, as well as my love to help support people in their journeys. My hope is that with each session I can be an anchor for each client as they walk through painful, joyful, and even calm moments together so they don't have to do it alone. I am specifically passionate about helping couples through communication issues, infidelity, betrayal, and ultimately helping them avoid divorce. I am trauma-informed and EMDR certified. I work with individuals through anxiety, stress, relationship issues, and complex trauma. I come from an attachment lens and use Emotionally Focused Therapy as a main modality in my work. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is collaborative in nature. I love working with client and partnering with them in therapy. My approach is very relationship based meaning our goal is to create a comfortable and caring environment where you feel valued and honored in the counseling process. It is such a delicate thing to seek counseling so I hope to meet clients exactly where they are at.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Typically our first few sessions involve me getting to know you and what brought you into therapy. As well as you getting to know me as a therapist. Then we begin to get into the work based on your goals. It may involved gaining a better understanding of how your experiences have shaped you today and helping you get unstuck. I don't throw out any diagnosis unless we discuss them together, but often finding a diagnosis might be vital to help give you the right care!
