What should a new client know about working with you?

If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or finding yourself caught in the same painful patterns in relationships or daily life, therapy can offer a space to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and create meaningful change. I work with adults who are ready to look beyond symptom management and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Many of my clients are high-functioning professionals, caregivers, or individuals who appear to have it all together on the outside while struggling internally with self-doubt, emotional exhaustion, relationship difficulties, or a persistent sense that something isn't working. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which explores how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns influence your present life. Together, we'll examine these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, helping you gain insight, build emotional resilience, and make choices that feel more authentic and fulfilling. While insight is an important part of the process, our work will always remain connected to the challenges you're facing today. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that feels collaborative, thoughtful, and emotionally safe. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma related distress, life transitions, or relationship concerns, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your capacity to cope, and move toward lasting change. If you're looking for a therapist who values depth, reflection, and genuine connection, I'd be honored to support you on your journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine whether we're a good fit. I'll ask about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and any relevant personal history, while also giving you plenty of space to share what's most important to you. We will discuss your goals for therapy, explore any questions you have about the process, and talk about how therapy works. Rather than rushing to solve problems, we'll begin identifying patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences that may be contributing to your current struggles. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we might work together. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll move at a pace that feels thoughtful and respectful of your needs.
