Victoria Wang, AMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Victoria Wang is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Remarkable Services. With over a decade of teaching experience gained in seven countries and with learners from over 60 different nationalities, I bring a global and deeply culturally humble perspective to our sessions. I am passionate about helping individuals and families navigate ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions in a way that feels empowering rather than pathologizing. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed or are navigating identity, loss, relationship challenges, using Psychodynamic and Control Mastery Theory, I meet clients where they are, understanding that many struggles are rooted in past experiences and beliefs that once served a purpose. Together, we gently explore and test these patterns in a safe, supportive space. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and culturally responsive, creating space for you to feel seen without judgment. I integrate CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative and play modalities along with neuroscience to help clients build insight, regulate emotions, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to support you with empathy and respect for your unique journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to help you feel heard and understood. I take a collaborative strength-based approach to therapy, which means we will work together to explore your goals and identify individual strategies that work best for you. Therapy is a personal journey, and we will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the beginning we focus on building our therapeutic relationship, helping us create a plan for our work together. Sessions will be guided by your needs and goals as we will explore your thoughts, emotions and behaviors as we introduce tools and/or strategies that may support you. As we proceed, we will reflect on your progress, as the goal is help you feel supported while building the skills and insights you need to create a healthier life.
