Getting to know Victoria Williams

I believe in providing a non-judgmental, person-centered approach to helping decrease dysfunctional behaviors at home, in the community, and at school. I meet clients where they are and assist them in finding better ways to cope with situations that disrupt their daily lives. I work well with adolescents by listening to them and helping them gain insight into how their behaviors significantly impact their future. I use a cognitive behavioral therapy approach because I believe thoughts are directly tied to behaviors. Once we identify irrational thoughts, we can begin to learn more positive, functional behaviors to respond to uncomfortable situations. I hold a Master's in Counseling from William Carey University, Hattiesburg, which has equipped me with the skills to support clients effectively through this process.
