Please book a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we're a good fit! Whether it’s because of hardship, heartbreak, or a lack of support, many people struggle to feel at ease. My mission is to help clients feel more comfortable in their bodies, relationships, and environment so they can live out their dreams. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Queens College, City University of New York, which has equipped me with the skills to support you effectively. I’m not one to silently nod along and agree with everything you say. I’m an active participant in your therapeutic process. When you work with me, our dialogue will flow like a conversation. We can discuss whatever is on your mind, but I will be curious about the emotions you want to feel more and less of, the sound of your self-talk and inner thoughts, and how your body experiences the world. If you’re open to it, I’ll occasionally assign homework for you to practice what we discuss during our sessions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I aim to tailor treatment to each client’s needs and use several techniques to facilitate healing, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and am beginning to explore somatic psychotherapies. My style is flexible and patient, although I can be direct if it’s helpful for clients to hear! I work with people healing from trauma, low self-esteem, difficult life transitions, relationship and communication issues, anxiety, and depression. Yes, we all struggle. Just because “it could be worse” doesn’t make your experience less valid or worthy of support. My experience as a Mental Health Counselor began by working with survivors of trauma accumulated from childhood, domestic violence, community violence, sex work and sex trafficking, incarceration, and the justice system. Through these experiences, I’ve learned to operate from a place of non-judgment, unconditional compassion, and even humor.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I typically start by getting to know you and your top priorities for therapy. Then, we'll address the issues that feel most urgent—whether that’s getting something off your chest, learning new coping skills, creating new habits, or processing past experiences. If you're not sure where to start, we can figure that out together.
