Getting to know Vito Pelikan
I focus on relationships?and I don't just mean with significant others. What is your relationship with your anxiety or depression? With your trauma or your past? With your thoughts on a daily basis? I believe I can help untangle the mess and leave you with a deeper understanding of yourself and your situation.
My role as your therapist is to understand, guide, and educate?but never to judge. The therapeutic environment is a vulnerable space because of its honesty and authenticity. I invite you to feel comfortable having an honest conversation with me, and I will do my utmost to provide you with the best care possible.
I hold a Master's in Counselling and Guidance Services from Florida International University and a Master's in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, which inform my approach and commitment to your well-being.

I provide telehealth services in Florida, California, and Utah. I accept most insurances, offer sliding scale appointments, and can provide superbills for clients with out-of-network coverage.
What should a new client know about working with you?
You'll probably find me leaning into my sense of humor and nerdy references but I am serious about being a clinician. After we set our goals, I am always using those to guide us in our sessions as well as assessing clinical improvements.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
After you book an appointment with me, I will reach out within 24 hours by phone and email to discuss the intake process with you and answer any questions you might have. Our first session will be focused on your history and treatment plan. After that, when we have our sessions, I usually begin by making space for anything that's on your mind before jumping into our treatment goals.
