Hi there, I'm Viviana! ¡Hola y bienvenidos! I’m so glad you’re here. I am a Bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Education for Counseling. With 20 years of experience in education, I am deeply passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges. I take a person-centered approach, focusing on building meaningful relationships and meeting each individual where they are. With strong cultural competence and the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood. My goal is to build trust, foster resilience, and empower you to reach your fullest potential. My approach My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and culturally responsive, recognizing and honoring each individual’s unique background and experiences. I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I primarily draw from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe thought patterns while developing effective coping strategies. In addition, I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to build on clients’ strengths and encourage practical solutions, and Person-Centered Therapy to provide a nonjudgmental and empathetic environment for self-exploration and growth. I also use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore and strengthen their motivation for change, fostering self-efficacy and personal development. Mindfulness-based techniques are integrated as well to support emotional regulation and stress management. By weaving cultural competence into each of these approaches, I aim to help clients feel fully understood and supported as they build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and develop lifelong coping skills.
