Hi there, I'm Waldo! My mission as your therapist is to support you with goal-oriented outcomes utilizing solutions-focused objectives towards a more realized, actualized, and authentic functioning self. My vision is to help you learn to reframe your narrative through healthy self-reflection and continuous personal growth to live life in the present moment by embracing exploration of the human condition through your lens. My approach I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with an all-inclusive, person-centered, humanistic, and holistic approach to psychotherapy, which means I listen to you and focus on your needs first. I incorporate multiple modalities, all populations, and any beneficial counseling orientations into my therapeutic practice, with a core focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions utilizing behavioral modification principles. My focus I have extensive experience working in different clinical settings with K-12 and college-aged students, parents w/ their children, couples, young adults, LGBTQ+ and families of all backgrounds experiencing symptoms of hyperactivity/inattention, identity crises, dissociation, opposition/defiance, mania, anger, emotionality, impulse-control, obsessive compulsions, intrusive thoughts, trauma, addiction, grief, depression, rupture, and other personal crises, life events or stressors. My communication style Expressive, empathic, precise, people-oriented, intuitive, and logical communication style to gently facilitate sessions and build rapport with occasional confrontation for introspection and constructive criticism. My journey to mental healthcare I've always had a natural inclination to explore human consciousness and the human condition; self-realization and self-actualization have always been important to me, as is expressing my authentic self.
